Overall, 2019 will wax and wane between moments of extreme intensity and flowing inspiration. The following is an overview of astrological activity throughout 2019 beginning with transits by sign that you can read for your Sun, Moon and Rising signs. Read about this year’s major configurations, their peak dates, and themes & keywords for both the lowest and highest frequencies of their expressions. You will also find information on New & Full Moons, eclipses, sign shifts and Mercury retrogrades happening throughout the year.

Read for Your Sun, Moon and Rising Signs

With the most benevolent planet (Jupiter) in his most abundant aspect (the Trine), 2019 is the year for you take even extra risks, Aries, and bet on the Spirit of Fortune to guide your intuition. Your work as a mentor, coach or entrepreneur is enhanced by Chiron moving into your sign. With Saturn’s square however, learn to negotiate optimism with pragmatic planning so you can achieve sustainable success, not just overnight victory.

Both Saturn and Pluto’s trines will give you solid ground on which to build even stronger pillars of support—pillars that are already so important to your stubborn bullish foundation. Nevertheless, remember to stay open to surprising and unforeseen new potentials. Increase your power this year with a samurai-like will and unshakable confidence and watch your influence grow, especially in your work.

The many you’s, Gemini, can’t seem to stop multiplying with Jupiter’s opposition this year. But this much acceleration can bring overwhelming anxiety. Plant yourself at the base of the bodhi tree and stop doing so much. Instead, listen long enough to receive the wisdom of all that information. Writing has always been your path to clarity and this year your writing can bring internal revelation and external validation through success in blogging, vlogging, books and teaching.

In 2019, you may feel that balancing your duties between loved ones and work will require so much as to leave little time for yourself. Especially during your birthday month and the eclipses of July, soft and sensitive Cancers, your volcano might erupt. Instead of unhealthy implosive anxiety, practice emotional release and cathartic healing. This will be essential to guiding your poetic soul towards a new evolutionary purpose as Guardian of Family and Educator of Intimacy. Saturn wants you to work with Time as your friend, teacher, and strategic advisor, so structure time for your inner child to unfurl and release as wildly as need be.

A blessed trine from Jupiter invites your creative muse, your self-promotion, and your leadership skills to blossom. Unleash your YES! Especially to the stages that you always seem to be thrust onto. Ask what your audience needs, and create the magic show of your medicine and unique gifts to offer them. You will be abundantly rewarded.

Dig your roots in deeper, Virgo, and discover how far your branches really can extend. 2019’s trine from Saturn supports even more efficient mastery of your already brilliant skills, but now this humble sign is finally receiving some recognition. Jupiter and Neptune’s square opens your vision to new frontiers and lessens your attachment to security and your reliance on rationality. Trust this! Your dreams will blossom almost magically from one season to the next. Focus on your rhythms—when to do what, and take enough time to listen to the inner guide. The guidance you seek will only be heard in the quiet of rest and meditation.

With the Nodes and Saturn in challenging square this year Libra, expect every relationship to offer both some karmic clearing and an evolutionary invitation. Partnerships increase in intimacy and seriousness both professionally and personally, especially during July’s eclipses and the New and Full Moons in April and October. So tend those moments delicately and practice the fine arts of attention and intention.

The New and Full Moons of May and November are the invitations you’ve been waiting for to evolve in 2019, though the pace is much slower compared to last year’s unhindered intensity and expansion. Neptune’s graceful trine supports a more empathic approach, releasing some of that scorpion penchant for paranoia and instead inviting compassion and the arts as a natural expression of your esoteric temperament. In whatever work you do, allow more intuition, sensitivity and psychic power to guide the process and you will feel your water sign flow into harmony.

This year the archer’s aim can achieve nearly anything, but beware of trying to accomplish everything. Jupiter in your sign wants you to gallop towards any goal with faith as the wind behind your back. Say yes only to those opportunities that increase your own capacity as both teacher and sage. Traveling abroad for learning or teaching, with lover or solo, can yield benefit as long as freedom factors in to the equation. Neptune’s square might make you overly idealistic with your grand plans, but also compel you towards mystic revelation. Dance into your dream and enjoy the journey.

In a way it’s like Saturn Return all over again, Capricorn. Saturn in your home sign through all of 2019 forces you to plan your work and work your plan. Let go of perfectionism in all your preparations and instead focus on the path of slow mastery. All your hard work is actually paying off this year and the amount of respect and honor you receive is determined by your discipline, integrity, and personal & professional accountability. July’s eclipses and Pluto’s journey through your sign open new portals to your unconscious. Embrace the esoteric, make love to the Mystery, and let the uncomfortable skins shed in your shamanic transformations—your hidden dimensions will compel you to commit to your shadow work as well as your outer vocation. Therein you will find the treasure of your success.

In 2019, you can finally breathe in some fresh air from your air sign Aquarian, who has been working so hard at gathering the cosmic tribe for the last two years. Now you must reap what you have sown and align all the puzzle pieces and game players. Your vision is unfolding all according to plan but you are well aware, especially in February and August’s New and Full Moons, of a higher divine order orchestrating your movements and a larger awakening process on planet Earth. Remember that the Alchemist’s Great Work, the Magnum Opus, is happening through you, not from you, and enjoy 2019’s ride.

Mercury’s retrograde in March will ask you to receive more than one mystical message from beyond, and your imagination is at its height with Jupiter in Sagittarius’ dynamic square. Beware of an even loftier than usual exotic ideal that allures you with overflowing options for awakening. Serendipity strikes often with a silken touch, and it might seem like angels are whispering in your ear, but golden promises may become brittle and broken if your faith is not grounded in hard work, discipline, and some skillful discernment and focus, which Saturn and Pluto’s sextile this year can provide.

One important theme for the first half of this year’s Full Moons is that many of them fall on the “0” degree or cusp of a sign. Thus, they are merging archetypes, and internally we experience a simultaneous sense of beginning and ending. This evokes a world-bridging, shamanic quality of blending energies together, but it can also feel like splitting ourselves between very different archetypes, as if we are wearing both the Comic and Tragic masks in a theater performance.

The Eclipses always mark the most intense and transformational portals of the year, as they are phase shifts where relationships, jobs, living situations and spiritual paths all journey through an evolutionary cycle of karmic clearing and can experience a birth of new energy.

Three times a year, Mercury appears to journey backwards through the sky—a cycle we call Mercury Retrograde. Mercury rules all aspects of technology, travel and communication. Thus, these areas often present challenges for us collectively during these times. Mercury invites us to back up hard drives and important information, repair our vehicles, triple check travel documents, and maintain compassion and patience in our communications.

Excavations of soul and its wounds, healing of suppressed memories, and discovery of hidden imaginative powers see great potential in Mercury Retrograde’s three Water transits in 2019. This should make us more sensitive to our inner worlds and help us develop psychic and healing gifts, nurturing capacities and familial bonds. These developments help us dissolve boundaries of age, gender, sex and culture in line with the fluid and unifying water element.

Mercury goes Retrograde in Pisces (29o 39″) on Mar. 5th, 2019 at 11:19 am PST.

Direct Station occurs in Pisces (16o 06″) on Mar. 28th, 2019 at 7:59 am PST.

Mercury goes Retrograde in Leo (4o 28″) on Jul. 7th, 2019 at 4:14 pm PST.

Direct Station occurs in Cancer (23o 57″) on Aug. 1st, 2019 at 7:58 pm PST.

Mercury goes Retrograde in Scorpio (27o 38″) on Oct. 31st, 2019 at 8:41 am PST.

Direct Station occurs in Scorpio (16o 06″) on Nov. 20th, 2019 at 12:12 pm PST.
